Predicted is the growing trend now and in future to soy crops especially in Australia and developments there of a possible techie cluster originating in Queensland Australia as a geographical landscape is already described as an American-invested project - wheat crops (food and FCR feed & energy fuel feedstock) and rapeseed & jatropha (oilseeds for feed and biodiesel fuel). The use in countries like Kazakhstan led by a Canadian-Russian consortium is predicted to go ahead with the seagrass affair using low-intensive local bodies of water with mined salt reserves with its availability for feed, food and energy and much better quality in its ligno-cellulose component as a fodder. One reported story earmarked the use of large facilities and attributed the cost of processing feed byproducts to about half and stated it was due to the quality and the large quantities handled and the time of fermentation, including sterilization, to make it economically feasible necessitating more expensive heavy equipment to handle. We believe that based on these findings major research in Central Asian countries in the field are expected due to seagrass higher quality as fodder, albeit, and the highly capital-intensive and regulated process-flow type set up for their physical plant, which will be in part paid for by the high added-valued major product of pharma feedstock vs alloting the rest to feedstock for food and energy. There are hopes that widespread usage of this plant crop the world over will gain ground with earlier support from the U. of Guelph, ON Canada and their ethno-anthropological patterns of attending to marine off-coast seagrasses for feed, food and in future energy from fuel. SKYEVIEW: In the future, the miracle of Philippine development is shaping up to be another opportunity to launch off initiatives to further areas out in C. Asia, rest of SE Asia and Asia & Russian Far East in terms of technology transfer liaison and investments from foreign sources and the spreading co-op movement like in the Philippines.
