This course covers the principles of professional project management practices applied for public and local government project environments. 

The course will introduce participants to advanced issues in project management with emphasis on sustainable planning, inter-project relationship and cost-effective decision making; budgeting and capital budget coordination process; project development, scoping, delivery, execution and control; resource requirements; communications with stakeholders, risk management, reporting; pre- and post-contract management. The objective of this course is to provide best practices and basics in project management concepts and various professional practices of project management tools applied to work within municipal, local government and public sector projects.

Management and supervisory positions or anyone who has direct or indirect work relationship with public and local government industry such as: Management Staff, Technical Professionals, Supervisors, Project Managers, Project Leaders, Senior, Intermediate and Junior Staff, Project Coordinators, Users and Practitioners.
