Program:
Altered gene expression plays a central role in virtually all types of therapeutic indications, and thus the development of compounds that can selectively modify such expression holds significant promise. Better understanding of how best to target the transduction of signal from an activated receptor or the transcription of a specific gene offers the potential of highly selective therapy. Advances in basic mechanisms of signaling and transcription, as well as key indications in treatment of cancer and infectious diseases, will be highlighted.
