In 1997, the 9th Lorne Cancer Conference will be held jointly with the American Association for Cancer
Research.
In order to make the conference more accessible to the international scientific community, we announce an
electronic extension of the 9th Lorne Cancer conference. This will be the 1st Electronic Lorne Cancer
Conference (ELCC) which will be held between March 4th -14th 1997.
This electronic forum will enable delegates to access selected plenary and symposium lectures presented at
the Lorne Cancer Conference from their own laboratories. Recorded talks and accompanying slides will
be available as files for downloading over the Internet. Once these files are downloaded, they can be
played back on your computer provided it is equipped with a sound card and a World Wide Web
browser.
In addition, there will be an opportunity for Lorne Cancer Conference participants and ELCC registrants
to present data in an electronic poster format. Each poster will have an electronic bulletin board allowing
dialogue between those presenting and those viewing posters.
There will also be three 1-2 hour real-time discussion forums on the Web in areas of:
Epithelial Growth Factors and Cancer
Growth Factor Receptor Signalling Mechanisms
Protein Kinases and Cancer
