CLOCKS & RHYTHMS

  February 14, 2007

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Cold Spring Harbor, New York
May 30 - June 4, 2007

We are pleased to host the 72nd Cold Spring Harbor Symposium which will address Clocks & Rhythms. The Symposium will begin at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 and end on the evening of Monday June 4 with normal departure on the following morning.

The Symposium will include 12/13 oral sessions and 2/3 poster sessions covering molecular strategies aimed at understanding the structure and function of biological clocks and rhythms. Most of the talks will be given by invited speakers but we may select a few talks from openly submitted abstracts. Social events throughout the Symposium provide ample opportunity for informal interactions and will include a wine-and-cheese party, a beach picnic, cocktails and banquet, and departure brunch.

Topics:
·Genetics Approaches to Circadian Clocks
·Clocks and the Cell Cycle
·Monitoring Control of Circadian Gene Activity
·Intrinsic Clocks
·Anatomical Representation of Neural Clocks
·Intercellular Signaling
·Peripheral Circadian Clocks
·Mosaic Circadian Systems
·Physiological/Endocrine Rhythms
·Photoperiodism
·Rhythms & Behavior
·Sleep & Sleep Disorders
·Migration & Hibernation
·Rhythms & Depression
·Arrhythmias

We are accepting abstracts for consideration as poster presentations. Abstracts should contain only new and unpublished material and must be submitted electronically by the abstract deadline.
