This one-day conference will focus on the philosophies and methodologies in forensic and analytical toxicology. The meeting will highlight important topics such as validation and method development, measuring and reporting uncertainty, pharmacogenomics and drug testing in the workplace. This conference is organised in partnership with the Bioanalytical Forum of the Chromatography Society, the Forensic Science Society, the Joint Pharmaceutical Analysis Group (JPAG), the London Toxicology Group (LTG) and the UK and Ireland Association of Forensic Toxicologists (UKIAFT). The meeting will complement the symposium on Modern methods of drugs analysis in biological materials: Analysis of drugs for the Olympic Games 2012, scheduled to take place on 13 October 2011. This conference is aimed at anyone involved in forensic and analytical toxicology, including those working in the pharmaceutical industry, forensic science laboratories, hospital laboratories, contract laboratories and academia. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students studying forensic science are also encouraged to attend.
