Sep 15 2008

During this 3-day, hands-on course, participants will learn how to prepare a Clinical Project Operations Plan that will serve as a road map for the implementation of their next clinical trial. The operations plan will include: scope of work, enrollment forecast, timeline, Gantt chart, critical path analysis, staffing plan, outsource plan, contract negotiation, investigator grant budget, clinical trial budget, risk analysis, and contingency planning. Additionally, the course will take the mystery out of forecasting clinical trial budgets. Participants will have the opportunity to roll up their sleeves, take out their calculators, and practice practical case examples. Other topics addressed during the course will include the value of project management, trends in clinical project management, and leading high performance work teams.  While an example protocol will be used to aid discussions and class exercises, participants will be encouraged to immediately apply the information to the protocol they are currently managing.
